The Legislative Palace, Plaza of Independence & Panecillo Hill for a panoramic view of the City.

Quito is a wonderful city where you can travel to the past, while still enjoying a life of modern-day comforts. The living museums in the Old Town nicely complement the modern art and archaeology museums in the New Town.

Church of La Basilica is a Neo-Gothic church built in 1892. The gargoyles are carved with images of real Ecuadorian fauna like monkeys and jaguars.

The Marine Iguana is found on all the islands, and is unique in that it's the only iguana that swims and feeds in the ocean. It eats the algae that grows on the rocks and can dive.
