The exhilarating City made famous by "The Girl from Ipanema" and Barry Manilow song "At the Copa", and also home of the sexy Carnival every February has a lot to offer. Some of the places you will visit,

- Lunch – At Hotel or Buffet at Da Silva (Typical Brazilian)

- Afternoon – Pao de Asucar (Sugar Loaf Mountain)

This famous Peak is reached in 2 stages. The first Cable Car takes you up 700 feet to Urca Hill for a lovely view of the Guanabara Bay, The Rio-Niteroi Bridge and Corcovado Hill.

An unexpected delight is to see airplanes coming directly towards Urca Hill, then turn at the last minute to land at the local Airport below. Be ready with your camera for an amazing shot.

Option -

You can take a Helicopter ride from here and enjoy a Bird's eye view of Rio.

The second Cable Car takes you to the Pinnacle (1300 feet) for a spectacular view of the city, its beaches and mountains.

- Dinner – Mio’s (Italian restaurant in Ipanema)

Great fusion of authentic Italian food with a Brazilian flair. This famous Restaurant serves a delectable & diverse Menu of Fresh Seafood, Brazilian Meats and Pasta.

 

Day 3 - Sunday - Rio

This 300 Acre Oasis in the midst of the bustling city was started in 1808 by the Portugese Royal family as their private sanctuary. In 1822 it was opened to the public and it contains a remarkable collection of exotic Plants, Flowers & Trees from all over the world, set amidst an array of Lakes, Fountains & Gazebos. A great place to walk, jog, or just read a book to relax and watch the various tropical birds.

Located in the City's financial center, the unique Pyramid shape design of this huge open Cathedral is an Architectural delight. The interior magnitude is enhanced by its Altar in the middle, surrounded by pews and lateral entrances on all sides.

- Lunch – Porcao Churascaria (Food Feast)

Meaning "pig" in Portugese, a  feast here is like a Roman  food orgy. Besides a lavish Buffet, they keep bringing you skewers of grilled Meats, Seafood, chicken, etc. Then you are treated to an array of scrumptious Desserts.

- Afternoon – Rest or Beach or Shopping

Another famous Rio landmark. High on a hill, the huge Statue with its arms outstretched, as if protecting the city below. You drive through Tijuca Forest to this high peak.

Then an elevator & an escalator takes you to the base of the statue where you admire its sheer size. Here you are afforded a panoramic 360 degree view of the city all around Sugar Loaf Mountain, and the many islands around Rio.

Day 4 - Monsay - Rio

- Boat to Niteroi - Across the bay from Rio

The growing suburb across the bay. During your 15 minute comfortable Boat ride, you are treated to a spectacular view of Rio from the other side. You will also visit the Museum of Contemporary Art, its modern Architectural design, looking like a Space Ship.

Day 5 - Tuesday - Iguazu Falls (Brazil Side)

Located on the Borders of Brazil & Argentina, this awesome natural wonder, in the Rain Forest, is a collection of several spectacular falls, where the Iguazu River drops into the Canyon with all its fury.

Day 6 - Wednesday - Iguazu Falls (Argentina Side)

An exotic collection of Birds, Turtles, Small Animals, etc., in their natural habitat gives you an up close glimpse of various species from the region. Be prepared to be greeted by a Peacock with its feathers fully opened, as if posing for you to take its photo.
